Applied Geology Courses
Our courses provide training for a wide range of geoscience careers from mineral and petroleum exploration to environmental geochemistry and groundwater management. We also offer research degrees for postgraduates wishing to undertake fundamental and applied research in any aspect of geoscience.
- Undergraduate Degrees are the standard entry point for many careers and our courses cater both for direct school leavers and for mature applicants who might not have completed high school but have other qualifications and experience. More information
- Honours Degrees are for students who performed well at undergraduate level, and provide training in project design, time management and other skills though specialist coursework and a supervised research project. More information
- Postgraduate Coursework Degrees are for geoscience graduates who want specialist skills in minerals, mining, petroleum, environmental or hydrogeology, and for graduates in other subjects considering a move into geoscience. More information
- Postgraduate Research Degrees provide advanced training for those with high grades at honours or postgraduate coursework level. Students undertake original research supervised by academic staff, often in collaboration with external partners. More information
