Curtin geoscience research ranked number one in Australia

A recent survey of research impact has ranked Curtin as the number one Australian research institution in the field of geoscience.
This ranking was published by Thompson Scientific and is based on the average number of times that scientific articles from each institution were cited in other articles over the 2002-2006 time period.
Curtin geoscience articles were cited an average of 6.18 times each. The Australian National University was ranked second with 5.84 citations per article, and Macquarie University was third with 5.19 citations per article.
